RoLL TiDE!

Ok – so anyone who’s spent any amount of time with me knows that I’m a DIE HARD FAN of ALABAMA FOOTBALL! Through the bad years – through the good – and even through the years that most “BaMA fans” won’t even show their faces. I’m from a small town in Alabama where everybody knows everything about everybody. So everyone knows my grandparents, who are notorious fans and made me the obnoxious person that I am. When I say obnoxious – I mean if you are pulling for the team that is playing against my Crimson Tide, you probably don’t wanna be anywhere near me before, during, or after that game! I’m a sore loser AND a sore winner!! That’s right, I admit it.

Thursday night was the night of the big game. My boys are undefeated and have been named SEC champions after CRUSHING the Florida Gators in the SEC Championship Game. So here it is, finally, they’re playing for the National Title in the BCS Championship Game in Pasadena, California. [God, I wish I could’ve been there, but I probably would’ve gotten my ass kicked just for being the obnoxious little BAMA girl that I am]
So, I arrive at Stubbies – the best frickin sports bar in this here Aspen Valley – and it’s full of Texas Longhorn fans. They’re wearing their orange and they’re holdin their little ‘hook em horns’ fingers up. Any normal person would’ve been annoyed, but not me. I couldn’t WAIT to piss every single one of them off!
I’m a little girl – but I have a BIG mouth! Seriously, within five minutes of arriving and ordering my pitcher of beer and large order of wings – I’d already caused two of the tables around me to relocate. Ask me if I felt bad about it. hahahaahaha. About a halfway through the first half of the game, Blake [the owner and bartender of this fine establishment – and coincidentally, the father of my children] tells me that the table of four that was seated next to me just paid their tab “because they couldn’t listen to that little alabama bitch anymore”. Ok, ask me if I feel bad. hahahaha – THEY started it!!
Throughout the course of the game, I KNOW I pissed a lot of Texas fans off – every time we scored, everytime they screwed up, every single time my team even got to touch the ball – I jumped up and down on TOP of my chair [and I was sitting in the very front of the projection screen] and yelled “RaMMER JaMMER Y’ALL! and THAT’S HOW WE DO IT IN BAMA, LOSERS!!!” OK, so maybe to say they hated me would be an understatement. You gotta love KNOWING you WoNT get kicked out of a bar – no matter how bad you piss everybody off. Hahahaha.

I’m not gonna bore you with all the stuff that happened in the game – especially since Leah is the only person who really reads this and I know she doesn’t give a crap. haha. I just want to say that I had to catch hell from every butt-hurt Auburn fan who lost to us who was suddenly a Texas Longhorn and yellin’ “Hook ’em Horns” at me all week long – all month long really. I sat quietly and waited for Thursday night and screamed til my voice was gone for MY BOYS while they completely CRUSHED them Texas Longhorns…or as I like to call them now “LongFaces”….bahahahahahaha!! [37-21, BABY!]
…and THEN? I found the most upset and butthurt person wearing Orange & White and had my picture made with him – completely against his will – while yellin’ “Oh YEAH! HOOK ‘EM HORNS, BABY!!”

So – CONGRATULATIONS to Mark Ingram [#22] – our Heisman Winner and the first ever from the University of Alabama – I couldn’t be happier or prouder to be an ALABAMA FAN!

Lastly, I would LOVE to offer my apologies to all the LongHorn fans wearing their long faces – especially the ones at Stubbies on Thursday night who had to endure my antics – but I’m really just NOT SORRY!
