i love saturdays…
I especially love Saturdays like today. I got to sleep in – until 9am and then I had some yummy breakfast with my kiddos. We had such a nice time last night. We went bowling for a few hours and it was “cosmic bowling”. The kids had a fantastic time. We ordered pizza and got pitchers of rootbeer and my friends brought their kids and it was just a blast. I’m pretty sure we got home around 10pm or so.
My flakey friend Noelle called me this morning to say she was coming by to go for a walk with me. I, of course, put the phone down beside me and continued to watch Spongebob with my two littlest kiddos and wouldn’t you know it? She showed up! hahahaha (love you Noelle) We went on about a 30 min walk and talked and enjoyed this glorious Colorado day – let me tell you, it is BEAUTIFUL!! Then, in true Noelle and Amanda fashion, we came back and jumped in the car – left Blake with the kids – and went to have ourselves a couple of ice cold light beers! aaaaah – Life is GOOD!
Game night tonight – Noelle and Donnie are bringing their little rugrats over and we’re gonna play “Apples to Apples”. It might possibly be the best game ever. I’m just sayin’.
So today – I’m thankful for good friends and fabulous weather… makes me miss Leah.
