weekend update?!

Happy Sunday – almost Monday!

It’s been a busy weekend for sure – it always is with the kiddos out of school and depending on me to keep them entertained!  We purged old toys and clothes from their rooms on Saturday and accumulated a box of stuff to donate.  Lots of arguing there, let me tell you – because my children (especially Piper) just hate to part with ANYTHING!   In the end, they were all happy with the outcome and I was thrilled to have gotten rid of some of the unnecessary clutter.

Piper is quite the reader – we have really enjoyed reading together tonight.  She’s so expressive and tries so hard to pronounce words that no first grader should know – like ‘camoflauge’, for instance.  I’m thoroughly impressed with her.  I really wish I could get Josh to enjoy reading half as much as he enjoys playing his new PS3 and the games Jared loaned him for his 360.  It is his new mission in life to conquer those games.  I guess I can’t complain too much – he is on honor roll again this grading period.  Cameron is sick – sore throat and sicky tummy.  Somehow, he still manages to be his little spunky self – just with a little extra whining.

I got in a 5.8 mile walk with Dutchess today – a fast one.  It was a-maz-ing!  I wasn’t sure I’d be able to fit it in,  but I did.  Tomorrow, I plan to try out my new ‘personal trainer’ I got to go with my Wii Fit.  I hope I have time between everything else I have to do. … DMV, first day of school, etc.

That’s right!  Tomorrow is my first day back to school – I’m super excited.  I’m officially a full time student again!  I’ve set some pretty tremendous goals for the next two years and I can’t wait to get started.  I really can’t.

High point of my day?  I talked to Leah for an entire 16 minutes.  It doesn’t happen that often, considering how poor we both are these days – so I get excited when it does.  Bryan will probably flip his lid – but only for a minute because things are absolutely amazing with us these days.  I miss him so much – I just adore him.

Life is Beautiful – I’m a blessed woman – I couldn’t possibly ask for more….
